Scrapbooking Up North

I wanted to let you know we are now carrying adhesive vinyl here in the store. Now you can purchase vinyl for your cricut machines, and choose how much you want. We currently have black, brown, silver, white, and blue vinyl. It is priced at $3.15 per 12×24″ sheet, and is the same vinyl that is sold by Provo Craft in the Cricut packaging.

Also, we are going to be closed this Saturday, July 4th for the holiday, and we will not be having card class next Tuesday on July 7th.

We are in the process of making room for new product, so we have two full tables of products marked 35% off. We also have tons of new summer products here in the store. Stop on in and check it out.

I wanted to let you know about a great product that has been DISCONTINUED by the manufacturer. The 26 Pocket 12×12 paper organizers that we sell here in the store are no longer being made, and the entire storage line has been discontinued.

I managed to track down 12 of these and I just received them in the store. They are on sale for $26.99, usually priced $31.99.  Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to purchase these before they are all gone.  I won’t be able to get any more.

I also managed to get 12 of the smaller accordion style photo organizers.  These have also been discontinued.

Wow! May is almost here.  I can’t believe we’re already headed into summer.  Here is a list of events going on here at Scrapbooking Up North in May.  Hopefully you can find a class or a mania to attend.  We’ve had a lot of requests for more scrapbooking classes - both traditional and digital.  I’ve tried to include a little something for everyone in May. Friday, May 1 from  5:00 - 11:00 pm. -  Mania- Fee: $8.00      Friday night and scrapbooking - what could be better?  Bring your projects in for a fun evening of scrapbooking.  

Saturday, May 2 from  10:00 - 10:00 pm. -  Mania- Fee: $15.00      It’s National Scrapbook Day on May 2, why not spend it at Scrapbooking Up North?  Prizes will be given to crop participants throughout the day.

Thursday, May 14 5:30 - 7pm:  Scrapbooking for Less -  Cost: $12.00 Come and make a great two page layout, while learing great tips and tricks for making your scrapbooking supplies and dollars stretch.  We’ll learn how to make GREAT layouts that look like you spent a lot of time and $$$, but didn’t! You don’t want to miss this one!

Friday, May 15  5-11 pm:  Mania!  Cost: $8.00     Let’s do it again!  Friday night and scrapbooking - what could be better?  Bring your projects in for a fun evening of scrapbooking.   

Saturday , May 16  9:am:  Scrapbooking + Cricut - Cost: $12.00    What a great way to start the weekend!  You’ll make a great two page 12×12 layout using items cut from the Cricut.  So…what’s so special about that?  You are going to learn how to jazz up your die cuts using stamps, pens, inks, stickles, and anything else I can think of.  Learn how to take your Cricut art to the next level in this class.  You won’t want to miss it! 

Thursday, May 21  5:30 - 7pm:  Alcohol Ink Adventure  Cost: $12.00  Have you been in the store and seen my mirror?  I’ve had a ton of questions about how I did it, so I’m going to teach an alcohol ink technique class.  We’ll decorate some great tin “baskets” that will look great in any home.  Yep, that’s right, a home decor project!  You will leave here with a complete project you will be happy to display in your home, or give as a gift.  You won’t want to miss it!

Wednesday, May 27  5:30 - 7pm:  Intro to Digital Scrapbooking  Cost: $12.00    Here it is - the must attend digital scrapbooking intro class.  You will learn everything from uploading your photos to how & where to print your pages, and everything in between.  If you have a laptop to bring, go ahead and bring it.  If you don’t - no worries!  You can attend this class and leave ready for your projects at home.   

***You must pre-register and pre-pay  for these classes.  Classes will be cancelled if there is not a minimum of 5 attendees.  ***

***Please bring a basic tool kit of adhesive, scissors, and paper trimmer to each class.***

I’ve got two more lines from My Mind’s Eye’s Bella Bella line.  We do have each of the individual papers for sale, as well as the paper packs.  Each paper pack has one sheet of each print, as well as the die cut embellishment sheet.  As for the individual papers, we started with each print in stock but a few have sold out already. These two lines have been very popular for my customers looking for great home decor prints.  They are great for shadow boxes, picture frames, canvases, or any other home deco project you may have!

I wanted to let you know we have received the entire line of the new My Minds Eye CHA release. Here are just a few pictures of the items we have in stock:

The best thing about this line is the cost!  The super cute embellishments range in price from $0.49 to $0.79, and the large embelishement sheets are $1.29.  It’s way easy to make awesome affordable layouts with this line!

I wanted to share some pics of the valentines we’ll be making in the Mom & Me Valentine class.  This will be a workshop format class.  That means we’ll have stations set up for each type of valentine, and you get to move from station to station.  It’s going to be a lot of fun!

Class starts at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 31.

Cost is $15 per Mom and child team.

You will make 10 Valentines, complete with bag and candy.

If you want to have these great valentines for your child’s class valentines, but need more than 10, you can purchase and make any additional ones needed for $1.00 each.

Please sign up early!  I think this is going to be a VERY fun class!

Are you having a great January so far?  I know it’s difficult to have a “great” anything when it’s so stinkin’ cold out!  I don’t know about you, but it sure seems like winter has arrived, set up shop, and has no intention of leaving anytime soon.  The holiday rush is over, and now what?  Just the cold and snow to look forward to, right?

WRONG!!!

How about some classes?  Why not get out of the house, learn something new, get your hands dirty, make some cards, attend a crop, or just stop in to say hi?  We’ve got some great classes coming up, and I’m very excited to get them posted.

Friday January 16, 5:00 to 11:00 - Mania and dessert!!!  Cost:$8.00  :  Get out of the house and spend an evening scrapbooking, making cards, or anything else you’d like to do.  Bring your laptop and do some digital scrapbooking!

Saturday January 17, 9 am to 9 pm - Mania!!!  Cost $15.00 **Includes evening meal and snacks

Thursday January 22,  5:30 pm - Jewlery!!!  Cost: $10 plus the cost of a pendant (prices vary)  NOTE: When signing up for class, please choose and pay for the pendant  you will work with during class.

Tuesday January 27, 6:00pm - Storybooking!!! Cost: FREE  Come and learn all about how to preserve your stories the digital way.  You’ll leave with all the knowledge you need to start your digital journey.  NOTE:  This is an info class only - you will not leave with a finished project.

Saturday January 31, 9:00am - Mom & Me Valentines!!! Cost: $15  :  Moms, bring your school aged child and spend an hour making valentines for school.   You’ll have a great time “bonding” over Valentines.  (Don’t forget to bring your camera to take pictures for your scrapbooks!)
